Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital opened a new pediatric specialty center in Trumbull to meet the growing need for pediatric specialty care in Fairfield County.
The 11,000 square foot center includes twelve exam rooms, five infusion bays, an isolation room, a procedure room, a blood draw room, an exercise pulmonary function testing room and two pediatric echocardiography labs. Children and adolescents receive specialized care from Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital board – certified physicians from the fields of cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, respiratory and surgery.
Due to the positive response to the color pallet used in the previous Pediatrics Specialties facility at One Long Wharf, a similar color scheme was used in Trumbull. Large expanses of bright colors extend from the floors to the walls and the use of patterned glass give a sense of playfulness to the Center.
